With 2 weeks left till we depart on our journey we are all cramming in the training as best we can and trying to get all the right equipment and final preparations sorted. We recently received the news that the delivery company DHL Express Vietnam will be our sponsors for the ride!! This generous offer means that they will provide us with a support van and driver to aid us along the way. We are very grateful for DHL's willingness and co-operation in doing this.
We are also overwhelmed by everyones support with this, as I speak we have raised a total of £6,356!! Originally our total was only £5000 but everyones generosity we raised the target to 10,000! Fingers crossed we reach it as it means 10 underprivileged Vietnamese children can be put through 4 years of university!

On 5 June 2012, Ride4Education (Sam Wilson, Callum Ewing, Jamie Richards & George Blurton) will be flying to Vietnam to cycle 2400km from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City. The Cause: Saigon Children’s Charity aim to ‘Eliminate Poverty Through Education’. By raising £15,000, we will have enough money to sponsor 15 students through their 4 years at university in Vietnam.

First Post!!
Just under a month to go till all 4 of us fly out to Vietnam! Everyones sponsorship has been brilliant and very encouraging for us. We are all training and working hard at the moment as we are still in exam periods at Uni. But we'll finish soon and be able to get a lot of miles under us before we leave. We are expecting to hear back from a potential sponsor tomorrow about a support vehicle and driver so fingers crossed all goes through. Everything is getting very exciting!
